In collaboration with post-secondaries across Calgary, Ambrose University is pleased to announce the launch of TalentED YYC, a new online platform to help Calgary employers navigate the engagement of students for practical work experiences.

A product of Calgary Work Integrated Learning or WIL, TalentED YYC makes finding student-specific internships and work experience easier and more accessible for both students and employers. WIL has been an excellent resource for students to find relevant work experience that assists them, not only in their studies, but also in finding jobs upon graduation.

The new TalentED YYC platform offers resources, templates, and a centralized job-posting portal to share WIL opportunities with students at all seven post-secondary institutions in Calgary. It also offers access to a team who can provide one-on-one support to help employers navigate how to work with student talent (Calgary Economic Development, 2023).

Ambrose University has seen many students through work-integrated learning.

“Students and faculty want to make the most of learning opportunities, so they look for experiences that have a high impact. WIL provides this type of encounter by providing students the chance to explore the relevance of what they learn in the classroom through authentic experiences in the workplace. We are thankful for the support that is available to us through this platform and TalentED YYC.” States Dr. Pamela M. Nordstrom, Provost, Senior Vice President Academic Affairs.

We are excited to work towards the further development of WIL within Ambrose programs and see our students flourish with these new opportunities.
